HOLA, MY NAME IS LUKE WATSON

I'm the man behind this website. We are a small team dedicated to bringing the best Vermouth to your home if not bringing you to Vermouthland (it's a real place.) We host Virtual Vermouth Sessions, produce Artisanal Vermouth, and plan Vermouth-centric journeys based out of Spain.

Currently based in the Mountains of Catalunya- that's where Barcelona is if it sounds greek to you, here in my lab (the Kitchen) I cook up Artisanal Vermouth and host online classes - Virtual Vermouth Sessions - teaching you how to do it yourself.

Two of my other great passions are Vino and History, not necessarily in that order. I have been studying Local History and Culture for the 10 years that I have been living here, working in and promoting sustainable tourism and specialising in Eno-Tourism.

I have also studied wine theory through the WSET and worked as a Junior Sommelier in Barcelona, but don't hold that against me, por favor.

Three words -

Empowerment Edutainment Ecological Economy

wait that's four words...

The World Famous Vermouth Houses, blessed be their barrels, proudly hang on to their secret recipes, privy only to the elite few privileged to partake in the knowledge. This is fantastic and indeed has been so since the 19th century-

but it's old.

We believe our new age is heading towards sharing more freely, a society in which we assist each other and empower each other in the process, being generous with our knowledge.

We also all are aware that a healthy Earth requires us to seek the products that are local and sustainable, supporting our local community and in the process supporting our own bodies to a healthier alternative.

Education is also changing, we all grow tired of the industrial age model, we seek entertainment in our knowledge delivery.

We want to have fun while we learn!

These are the  factors that have brought us to reach our Open-Sauce Model.

The main focus of the project- empowering people to produce their own Vermouth, and learning all of the extra skills that come with it.
The very fortunate by-product of our endeavours- in our experimentation and learning process we produce hundreds of bottles of Homemade Vermouth!
To compliment this practical element, it turns out Vermouth has a lot of character and a rich History. Thats why we are always studying the theory and sharing it as much as possible!
And as a final point, many years of Tour-Guiding in Barcelona has opened my eyes to the Edutainment that a live tour provides. A wonderful way to fully understand the culture and experience the feeling of where Vermouth comes from.
