With its palm-tree lined bike paths, flat cityscape and spectacular monuments its easy to see why.
So if youre feeling adventurous putting foot to the metal is the best way to discover the futuristic 22@ district.

On the eastern side of the city lies the 22@ district.
This is Barcelona city’s proposal to create a new urban district in the smart-city model.
Think futuristic buildings which robotically change and adapt according to the weather and experimental pedestrian and cycle friendly zones where car traffic is restricted
in order to create public space.

In this 3 hour cycle excursion we escape the touristic centre to explore this area.
Visiting such cutting-edge architecture as the Media-TiC building

We will get to know the locally born artist behind the modern facade of
La Sagrada Familia- Josep María Subirachs
and we will see the cool street art murals, both legal and non, that characterise this
up-and-coming area that many a tourist doesn’t see.
